Spring Into Art was a project for 13-19 year olds that gave young people the opportunity to work with different art mediums to explore the theme of inclusion. Young people received expert tuition in various art forms to create a piece of art through photography, creative art, and drama. Spring Into Art aimed to allow young people both with and without disabilities to explore what inclusion means to them; how it affects their daily lives; what are the benefits and barriers to inclusion.

During this project, young people worked towards acheiving a Bronze Level 1 Arts Award, giving them the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised qualification, equivalent to GCSE grade D-G. The completed pieces of art will be displayed in the local area for the public to enjoy. 12 young people engaged with the project and six young people completed their Bronze Arts Award.

The programme involved weekly 1.5 hour sessions at Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre from January to July 2014.
